Let the application decide theoretically use the application's settings regardless of your global manage 3d setting or individual program's manage 3d settings. Yeah, that's an added level of complexity to supposedly make things easier for users. In other words, the individual programs tab has higher priority and is to set one or or more specific settings different than your normal global setting for just that one program. In that case, anything set different for an individual program will be used instead of the global setting for that particular item.įor example, if you play BF4 and have vsync disabled in BF4, AND have vsync set to 'let the apllication decide' OR 'disabled' in the global settings tab, BUT have vsync 'enabled' in the individual program's settings, BF4 would have vsync enabled even though it is disabled in BF4's settings and disabled in the global settings tab. The only time there is a difference is if you manually set an individual program (not global) to something other than the global setting's setting. If everything is default, there is no difference. With option 2, most settings in the global tab are set to 'Application-controlled'. Yes, but what I'm interested in is the difference between using option 1 and using option 2 if everything is set to default.
